Healthcare Pharma, MSD enter into strategic partnership

healthcare-msdMSD, a US-based global healthcare leader, on Wednesday, announced a strategic partnership with Bangladesh’s Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Limited that will allow MSD to bring its pharmaceutical products to patients in the country.

Under the partnership, MSD plans to launch 5 new products in vaccines and various therapeutic categories in Bangladesh.

MSD president and managing director (South Asia region) KG Ananthakrishnan and Healthcare Pharmaceuticals chief executive officer Muhammad Halimuzzaman made the announcement at the Sonargaon Hotel in the city.

Ananthakrishnan said MSD was delighted to announce the strategic partnership with Healthcare Pharmaceuticals as it would help to create access to MSD’s best-in-class, innovative products and collaborate in the country for working towards enhanced patient management and care in Bangladesh.

‘MSD is committed to Bangladesh both in terms of bringing global quality products and helping to reduce the disease burden in the country through our unique beyond-the-pill approach,’ he said.

Halimuzzaman said, ‘Healthcare started developing its factory in 1996 and now manufacturing more than 200 products with all types of dosage forms.’

He said, ‘We are proud to join hands with MSD to bring their portfolio of products to Bangladesh.’

‘I am certain that our strong footprint in the country, combined with MSD’s innovative product portfolio, will help us contribute to the health and lives of people in the country,’ said Halimuzzaman. (Source: New Age)
