Rapid Keen buys out Zuellig’s Bangladesh subsidiary

Rapid Keen Holdings, a British Virgin Islands entity, has bought out the entire stake in Zuellig Pharma Bangladesh Limited (ZBPL).

ZBPL is the Bangladesh subsidiary of pharmaceutical giant Zuellig Pharma, which is Asia’s leading healthcare service provider.

ZPBL distributes Novartis, Sandoz, and GSK products exclusively in Bangladesh since it was set up in 2006.

The stake has been sold by Zuellig Pharma Holding Ltd, a Malaysian subsidiary of Zuellig, and it has been acquired under the same name by Rapid Keen Holdings.

Two Bangladesh nationals—J Ekram Hussain and Beanus Hussain—have been appointed nominee directors of Rapid Keen Holdings.

Ekram and Beanus are Akhtar Hussain’s children.

Akhtar Hussain is the managing director of Rangs Electronics Ltd, a distributor of SONY products in Bangladesh. The company website says his son Ekram is deputy-managing director and daughter Beanus also sits on its board.
