The Department of Pharmacy organized a workshop on Quality Control in the Pharmaceutical Industry followed by an on-campus Interview on Sunday, the 8th of November 2015 from 9.00 am till 4:00 pm at the Department of Pharmacy. The On-Campus Interview was also followed on 12th November 2015.
Dr. Quamrul Ahsan, Senior Director, Quality Control, Incepta Bioscience, Mr. Shaheen Khan, Vice President, Quality, Incepta Bioscience, and Md. Zakir Khan, HR Manager, Incepta Bioscience was the speaker at the workshop. They focused mainly on the role of quality control in the pharmaceutical industry. Quality Control and Regulatory Compliance are the major challenges for ensuring a smooth healthcare infrastructure and are the key to avoiding deviation from the current global standards for manufacturing medicines.
This was the first time the Department of Pharmacy, BRAC University has organized an on-campus interview with a mission of bringing the expected graduates of the university closer to the working atmosphere of the pharmaceutical industry. Students of the Department of Microbiology and Department of Biotechnology were also invited to attend the interview which might open up a door for them to get a chance to work in Incepta Bioscience, a sister concern of one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in Dhaka.
