A fire at the factory of Opsonin Pharma Ltd in Barisal has left one dead and four others burnt.
The fire broke out around 2:30am on Sunday, according to the Barisal fire service.
Five fire-fighting units extinguished the flames after four hours of effort.
The dead has been identified as Nesar Pyadar, 48.
Others who were injured are being treated at the Sher-e-Bangla Medical College and Hospital.
The fire originated from a packaging facility of the pharmaceuticals plant and spread quickly, said Barisal Fire Service Assistant Director Shawkat Hasan.
Fire-fighters rescued five workers with burn injuries after the flames were tamed and rushed them to the hospital, where the doctors pronounced Pyadar dead. (Source: bdnews24.com)
