A parliamentary subcommittee has asked the Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Bangladesh authorities to take initiatives for exporting its products, saying those have huge prospects of earning foreign currency.
Members of the subcommittee-1 of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Religious Affairs Ministry came up with the call while visiting the Hamdard laboratories at Meghna in Sonargaon of Narayanganj on Wednesday, said a Parliament Secretariat release on Thursday.
After visiting the pharmaceutical company’s laboratories, the subcommittee members sat in a meeting at Hamdard University auditorium with its convener Syed Nazibul Bashar Maizvandary in the chair.
Hailing the activities of the company, committee members said there is a huge prospect of earning foreign currency by exporting herbal products of Hamdard Laboratories.

The subcommittee suggested the company authorities place its detailed information before the parliamentary standing committee.
Among the information details sought, are statistics related to its income and expenditures of the last fiscal and the current fiscal, and information related to its movable and immovable assets.
The subcommittee will prepare a report on the company and place it before the main committee. (Source: Amar Health)
