JU Pharmacy students visited Square Pharma’s plant

square-ju-plant-visitSQUARE Pharmaceuticals Ltd. arranged a day-long plant visit program for 24th batch students of the Department of Pharmacy, Jahangirnagar University in their Dhaka Plant, Kaliakoir on 23rd August 2014. It was a program of 43 participants, along with the students Prof. Dr. Sukalyan Kumar Kundu was also present.

The students got the opportunity to enrich their knowledge with the working process & latest, sophisticated technologies of a TGA & UKMHRA approved cGMP compliant pharmaceutical manufacturing plant. They observed the manufacturing process of different Solid Dosage Forms, Biotech Products i.e. Insulins. The program offered them a chance to correlate theoretical knowledge and practical manufacturing processes.

SQUARE Pharmaceuticals Limited is the largest pharmaceutical company in Bangladesh and it has been continuously in the 1st position among all national and multinational companies since 1985. It was established in 1958 and converted into a public limited company in 1991. The sales turnover of SPL was more than Taka 11.46 Billion (US$ 163.71 million) with about 16.43% market share (April 2009– March 2010) having a growth rate of about 16.72%.

Square pharma does that type of work frequently.
